Castello di Meleto - Special edition
Chianti Classico DOCG
This Chianti Classico is the soul of Meleto as the Sangiovese is a true embodiment of the territory from which it comes. It is a traditional Chianti Classico, where the use of only large wood barrels in ageing allows the varietal to express itself at its best.
From the 2021 vintage the production of Castello di Meleto is officially organic, the label comes in a special edition to celebrate this important milestone.
Castello di Meleto
Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
Chianti Classico Riserva is the result of the selection of the best hand-picked grapes, from the 5 sub-zones of Casi, Meleto, Poggiarso, Moci and San Pietro. The result is a combination that best holds together the real soul of Meleto, the variety of its terroir and its microclimates and the magnificent complexity of the most iconic wine in the area: the Sangiovese.
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG
Intense red color. The nose is powerful and rich, with spicy and sweet notes, aromas of ripe red fruit and lavender. In the mouth it is structured, supported by a lively but velvety tannin, great persistence and balance. Aging takes place in large barrels of 50 hl and 30 hl, for 27 months. The minimum aging is 6 months in bottle.
Sparkling wine Zero Dosage
The Castello di Meleto Classic Method Zero Dosage is the undisputed symbol of elegance and prestige. It is the most generous expression of Sangiovese, which goes beyond the concept of vintage, ageing on the yeasts for 170 months.
Intense fragrance, which accompanies hints of pine nuts, coffee and apricot. Raisins, honey, chamomile, vanilla and orange peel are added to the complex bouquet. Fine bubble, balanced and creamy sip
A wine with a refined bead of continuous and persistent tiny bubbles, distinguished by colours with hints of luminous gold, and a complex flavour that is also of rare elegance
del Chianti Classico DOC
The Chianti tradition of our Vinsanto begins with a special method of harvesting the grapes. This technique allows us to hang the bunches vertically within our stunning vinsantaia, thus beginning the natural drying process. Trebbiano is used in addition to a small selection of Sangiovese and Malvasia. After the drying, vinification takes place in partially filled caratelli and is followed by a very long aging period before the golden nectar is ready to be tasted.
Spumante Brut Rosè Metodo Classico
Our classic method sparkling wine, made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, is a different interpretation of this variety that is normally appreciated as the primary base for important red wines. It is a surprising sparkling wine that combines the notes of peach and bread crust, typical of the best classic methods, with an elegant perlage that is the result of at least three years' contact with the yeasts and a pleasant acidity typical of Sangiovese.
Castello di Meleto Vigna Trebbio
The Trebbio vineyard is a CRU in the Meleto sub-zone. The decision to enhance this vineyard stems from the desire to exalt the many expressions of Sangiovese that Castello di Meleto has to offer. Among its rows there are also vines of Ciliegiolo and Colorino, minor varieties, historically used in the Chianti Classico blend, which represent a heritage of biodiversity that Castello di Meleto wanted to preserve. Il Trebbio becomes the third Chianti Classico Gran Selezione of Castello di Meleto.
Castello di Meleto Vigna Poggiarso
Vigna Poggiarso is one of the 3 CRU Gran Selezione.
Obtained exclusively from Sangiovese grapes coming just from the Poggiarso vineyard. It is a vibrant, straightforward and bold Gran Selezione where the intensity of the aromas is combined with a crispness of flavors and a true acidity.
An uncompromising wine that gives voice to the vineyard of origin, rich in rocks and perched on a hill 560 meters above sea level.
Castello di Meleto Vigna Casi
Vigna Casi is the vocation of a single vineyard in bottle.
A wine made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes coming from the Casi vineyard, which encompasses all its characteristics. It is an elegant, sinuous and charming Gran Selezione where the variety of aromas is matched with balance and persistence of aromas. Every sip renews the amazement and it is one of the best expressions of Meleto.
Castello di Meleto Parabuio
IGT Toscana Rosso
In the sub-zone of Casi, between two hills, in a crevice where the sun seldom filters in, runs an impetuous torrent, rich in water and undisturbed by drought and man's touch: this is the borro of Parabuio, an impervious place where nature rules.
Camboi is the acronym for Campo dei Buoi, an area of Meleto that was used for the breeding of oxen from the Middle Ages to the early 1960s. In the 1970s Malvasia Nera del Chianti vines were planted in this same area, which today produces a unique wine. Camboi is the latest creation from Castello di Meleto, but it is quickly making a name for itself within the lineup. This wine is challenging to categorize as it is quite rare for the Italian wine scene. The Malvasia family is a boundless one yet it is very difficult to find a single-varietal Malvasia Nera del Chianti as historically it has always been used in blends with other Tuscan native varieties.
IGT Toscana Bianco
The Vermentino is part of the Borgaio line which consists of pleasant and ready-to-drink wines designed for everyday consumption. Vermentino is one of the many wagers made by Castello di Meleto: this grape, typical of the Tuscan, Ligurian and Sardinian coast, has found at Castello di Meleto ideal conditions that give life to a wine full of aromas and minerality.
IGT Toscana Rosato
The Rosato is part of the Borgaio line which consists of pleasant and ready-to-drink wines designed for everyday consumption. Rosato is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes. Castello di Meleto is focusing in particular on this variety and embarking on an interesting path of qualitative growth. As such, the younger vines and those positioned in cooler areas have been destined for the production of this wine.
Colto alle Bolle
A blend of Sangiovese and Pinot Noir produced using the Martinotti method, Colto all Bolle is a lively, palate-pleasing sparkling wine. The marriage between the king grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese, and the elegant Pinot Noir creates a wine with fresh, vernal aromas, delicate on the palate and yet delightfully zesty.
This red is part of the Borgaio line which consists of pleasant and ready-to-drink wines designed for everyday consumption. The characteristics of Sangiovese blend perfectly with those of Merlot, giving life to a harmonious and balanced wine making it enjoyable and versatile in its pairing.

Keep a Beehive
For those who decide to become custodians of a beehive, it will allow it to grow and develop; in this way they will take care of it from a distance and be involved in its growth step by step.
Each hive taken into custody with a donation of 250 euros will have the name of the investor affixed to it, and 2 kg of honey will be extracted from the production of each loco, for 5 years of custody, for a total of 10 kg.
The 20 hives on the property provide quality organic honey, and the intention is to triple the number of hives in order to sustain the biodiversity of the area and a global eco-sustainable heritage.
The organic artisan honey of Castello di Meleto completes the indissoluble bond with the territory, reflecting its seasons. Each type with its characteristics enhances the flavors of tradition in accompaniment to cheese dishes or to enrich even a simple slice of Tuscan bread.
